Work Packages: WP2
  Mini CV
Dr. Javier Ruiz is a Ramón y Cajal Research Fellow at the Complutense University of Madrid. He has a wide experience (15 years) on planetary (and specifically Martian) heat flows, and on the reconstruction of the thermal structure and evolution of the lithosphere of Mars and other planetary bodies (including Earth). Indeed, he is an expert in the calculation of surface heat flows from different temperature-in-depth proxies and in the research of the implications of the derived thermal structures on other planetary properties (e.g. crustal magnetisms or composition), and has obtained the largest data base of regional paleo-heat flows for Mars.

He contributes to the calculation of the sub-surface heat flows and stability of clathrate hydrates (WP2).
